API Engineer: 

You would be the fourth member of an engineering team tasked with developing new functionality, as well as maintaining and supporting the existing, publicly available product. The ideal candidate must share our entrepreneurial mindset, be self-directed and understand their contributions directly effect the trajectory of the company.


What You Will Be Doing: 

Maintain and integrate with existing applications by implementing new features and fixing defects 

Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing 

Instrument, maintain and analyze tracking metrics collected at various points within the application to identify pain points and guide improvements

Requirements: 


Strong working experience with web services frameworks and related technologies such as Javascript (AWS Lambda), Java, and Spring 

Strong working experience with databases and related ORM technologies such as standard SQL, MySQL, Hibernate. 

Experience with Amazon Web Services Relational and NoSQL data stores. 

It is required to be on a time zone in the Americas UTC -4 to UTC -6.


Preferred: 


Experience with Amazon Web Services specifically Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Redis, S3 

Experience with popular continuous integration tools 

Some full stack experience with an emphasis on scaling APIs
