You will potentially be involved at all stages of the business lifecycle from consultancy through development, implementation and integration, to testing, support and maintenance.


This role is initially a 6 month contract-to-hire role. The work will be remote, so the employee must have experience and comfort working on problems of this nature remotely, and with using remote collaboration tools (slack, video, etc).

  • Design and architect high performance data visualization and analytics software
  • Work with Python and the scientific Python stack (eg. Numpy, Numba, SciPy, Pandas) to design and develop algorithms
  • Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle stages, following best practices established for the project
  • Self-learn new technologies and research new subject topics
  • Communicate clearly and work cooperatively with colleagues
  • Commit to the standards and values of the company and the role


Required skills include but are not limited to:


  • At least four years professional working experience with Python, including Python’s numerical ecosystem, and the ability to extend (not just use) numerical python libraries (Numpy, Numba, SciPy, Pandas, etc.)
  • Previous experience working within a remote team, on mathematically focused problems
  • Proactive, with the ability to successfully estimate timelines and and successfully deliver projects
  • High level of desire for individual self-study of new concepts, with the ability to quickly become proficient in new software
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Experience working with git in a team environment


Desired skills include but are not limited to:


  • Development of custom GPU / CUDA software development in Python (using Numba, PyTorch, PyCUDA or other library)
  • BA/BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, or other technical field, or comparable demonstrable experience
