Senior PHP developer (remote)

Location: Remote, home office position

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for an experience and pro-active Senior PHP engineer who is motivated to help us in developing our custom web applications.

• Fulltime, 9 am - 6 pm in your time zone;
• Work remotely from any place in the world; 
• Travel is required for the annual meeting, and may also be required once or twice a year for team or project meetings;

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The development of minor and major functions of the application;
• Help clients in developing feature specifications;
• Plan, code, test, and deploy new features, applications, projects, modules, and plug-ins;
• Troubleshooting application errors and solving them;
• Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability; 
• Offer changes, updates, best practices. 

REQUIREMENTS

An ability to work independently without supervision is crucial for this role. Hard and soft skills requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with PHP, Laravel. 
• Understanding of front-end tools (React, Vue.js etc.), HTML5, SASS & CSS
• Fluent English, enough to implement tasks efficiently. Ability to work with all the project specs and docs, comment code, and participate in meetings. 
• Test-driven approach; 
• Being detail-oriented and attentive to details;
• Ability to take leadership over your part of the project;
• Eager to research and learn in a self-directed way;

PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

Nice to haves: 

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering; 
• An active Github account with open source contributions;
